Nothing special going on today. I fell asleep real early last night; maybe I was trying to avoid calling the bee guy back. I actually got some housework done and did the dishes; real strange for me to do during the week.

  • I bought a new forwarding domain for Big Crumbs. It turns out the one I was using caused a lot of problems that I was not aware of. I’ll be giving the problem causing domains to the owners of BC once they get back to me. Over the next couple of days, I’ll have to find all of the hidden places that I’ve left the old domain. Even though they are scattered, I think they are all confined to a few domains.
  • Found the first place using my old domain; my Make Money Shopping lens had quite a few of them. Now I can scratch that off my list.
  • I found some BC links on Brenda K Carter as well. Got those all fixed up.
  • Sticking to my rule of blogging everyday, I posted Tuesday’s update of my Big Crumbs Earnings from July 2008.
  • Boo, I failed with updating my blog everyday already yesterday. Wednesdays are supposed to be my Q&A day, but I didn’t have any questions anyways. I did write an update today at Down On Our Luck.
  • I managed to get the Entrecard toolbar working as well, now that they worked many of the bugs out. Thanks guys.

Well, the Packers didn’t win last night and I fell asleep before kickoff; so much for working during the game. I think my body is trying to tell me something because I slept late this morning again :(

  • Checked my Big Crumbs earnings.  I had two new members sign up between yesterday and today. Welcome, I hope you enjoy the website.
  • I think I’m going to take some time and alphabetize the football products lenses that I have so people can find their favorite team when shopping on one of these lenses. I love the table of contents module.

I have a family reunion to go to later, but I am most productive in the AM anyways so it won’t hurt anything.

  • Of course, I checked my Big Crumbs earnings.
  • Did a little research on a tool I’ve been contemplating a purchase of.
  • Looked into a Captcha problem I’ve been seeing all over the web, including my feature my pet page at One Million Pet Pics. I took the captcha off my site for a while until they fix the problem. If you use reCaptcha you may want to check your site, I still haven’t found the answer to this problem yet.
  •  I went and dropped way to many Entrecards for an experiment I’m running.

Had to leave for the family reunion. It’s back to work tomorrow :(

I stayed up pretty late last night talking to my mother about the whole Brett Favre drama and other things. I actually woke up at 2:30AM, but I was able to back to sleep shortly after. I’ll need to make up for the time this evening now that I’m back to a semi-normal sleeping schedule.

  • Started my Big Crumbs update for the month at Down On Our Luck.
  • That’s about it for this morning. I didn’t get real far into anything. I woke up too late for that.
  • I spent some time researching some tools for myself and then the DH and I went for a much needed bike ride.

I’m up a little early this morning, but nothing too bad. My eyes look a little nasty, maybe a case of pink eye so I could be in luck for an extended weekend.

  • Played around on Facebook for a little while; feel free to send me a friend request if you’d like.
  • Updated my Pink NFL Jerseys lens. Added many eBay store items and checked Amazon for new offerings. Only finished through Carolina Panthers. I guess I’ll be busy tonight, I’m pretty much out of time this morning.
  • Applied to some new sports affiliate programs this AM.

That’s about it for the 4th, on to 8/5/08.

I had a difficult time getting back to Squidtop today to publish my post from yesterday so today’s listing might not be that accurate.

  • Changed the link to my Pokemon Nintendo DS Skins lens from my Nintendo DS Skins lens to look like it is meant to be part of the table of contents. Had to update the DS Skins again because my original link was wrong. The DS Skins lens hit a milestone for myself yesterday; at some point yesterday I had over 200 visitors within the last 7 days, I have never had that many visitors on any of my lenses.
  • Downloaded the new Entrebar from Entrecard. I’m excited to try it out, but I can’t login.
  • Spent a little time pricing fiberglass extension ladders. DH bent the one his boss lent him after using it for only a half an hour. I am so upset about this. From what I can find, they cost between $200-$300. I wish he would think sometimes.
  • Set up Thunderbird as my new email client; I finally figured out what the heck was wrong with my Yahoo account as well. So far I don’t think Thunderbird drags on my system as much.
  • Updated my Antique Singer Sewing Machine lens. Just a little tweaking and tag adding, nothing major.
  • Started playing around with new SEO Software: Traffic Travis. Started a lens with a personal review. Checked Squidoo for anything close and things look promising.

We ended up with company after this, so I was pretty much done for the day.

Happy Saturday everyone. This post will probably be pretty long as it is Saturday and all. A day when I have about twice as much time to get things done. For some reason, recently it has seemed that I’ve been getting nothing done; hence the reason I started recording my online time at this blog.

The biggest difficulty when writing down my online activities is deciding when or when not to write something done. If I hop on over to a website for a minute or two, it’s going to take me longer to write about it than to find the info I need and get out. On the other hand, I need to be honest with myself if I really want to become serious about things and get out of my day job. A minute or two at sixty websites is two hours, not good. I’ll find the correct mixture as I go along and tweek things.

  • Logged into Big Crumbs where I Make Money Shopping to check and record my stats. I also took a gander through the forums there to see if anything was new.
  • Checked my blog stats, nothing steller yesterday. I’ll need to think of some ways to work on that.
  • Every time I Tweet the old fashioned way, I receive an error and lose my comment. Guess I’ll try Tweekdeck again. I’m having problems adding new people to follow as well.
  • Added my lensmaster feed from Squidutils to the MyBlogs application on Facebook.
  • Wrote a new post at Down On Our Luck; an update to my husband’s gambling addiction.
  • Ok, I couldn’t resist, I dropped a couple of cards from my inbox at Entrecard.
  • Updated NFL Infant Jerseys to include all 32 teams now. Also, added “nofollow” to some more links. Checked availability on eBay store items all the way through the Cowboys.

That’s about all I got done on the 2nd, hopefully the 3rd is more productive.

July 30th 2008 Daily Update

Thursday, July 31st, 2008

I almost forgot to hit the publish button for yesterday. On to another day. Keeping track of what I’m doing has really helped me stay on track. I haven’t been this productive in the morning for weeks.

  • I responded to Poddy’s comment left on my first post by email, answering his question regarding Entrecard.
  • Took care of some customer emails and ordering for The Software Castle.
  • Signed up for Adtopic, I’m not sure about having another widget on Down On Our Luck. We’ll see what happens.
  • Checked my Big Crumbs account, like I do every morning.
  • Added a new friend at BlogCatalog, feel free to add me to your friend list.
  • Spent a little too much time on Catster looking to find friends for Bud. I think I spend way too much time networking for One Million Pet Pics, but I just can’t help myself. BTW, if you have a pet and a lens or website you’d like us to link to, visit our contact page and submit your favorite furry family member.
  • I kind of ran out of time for the morning, so I dropped Entrecards for 20 minutes.
  • For once I was able to get on the computer in the evening before falling asleep on the couch. I received an e-rewards survey that I took. I have already earned about $20 from their surveys. I redeemed $10 of that for a one year subscription to INC magazine. Hopefully I can find some time to read it, I seem to have a stack of mags piling up alongside my desk.
  • Didn’t get much done in the next hour after sitting down. I ended up finding Bud some friends on Catster and got tied up in sad pet stories. I don’t know what my problem is, I just can’t resist them.

July 29th 2008 Daily Update

Wednesday, July 30th, 2008

I’m up way too early this morning. Couldn’t sleep, thought I’d do something productive as opposed to laying on the couch till I fall asleep in a couple hours. I hope the hubby doesn’t wake up too early and bust me.

  • Started the day by checking my Big Crumbs stats. Two referrals today, one direct bringing me to 102. Also went through and read my messages.
  • Ended up trying to follow a conversation on Twitter; I should know better, it takes way too long. I did find 5 more people to follow though.
  • Completed a survey at e-rewards.com. Took about 10 minutes, made $2.50. This is the first survey site that I’ve joined which doesn’t jerk me around or send me 20 emails a day. I’ve already earned enough for a free 1 yr subscription to Inc magazine.
  • Spent way too much time reading about the lensrank fiasco on Sunday that I didn’t even notice. Maybe because I’m here to make money, most of which comes from affiliate commissions.
  • Read through JustBon’s Bottom 20 Lens. I think some of these lensmasters would freak if they saw the LR of my bottom lenses. I’m not real passionate about LR.
  • Ended up joining a couple of groups at Facebook and logging into Joe Popular for the first time ever. Added a little content and links to my blogs and a couple of lenses. Added a friend at BlogCatalog as well.
  • Added a bunch of friends on Digg; checked out what some of them were digging. Found a cool speedreading app.
  • Checked stats at Google Analytics.
  • Registered with Pepperjam network, waiting on approval.
  • Added Jacksonville Jaguars and Denver Broncos to my NFL Infant Jerseys. Checked store items for the Packers and Bears on this lens and updated the items along with adding “nofollow” tags to direct links. This is more work than I thought it would be. I have a gut feeling it will pay off in the long run.
  • Commented on Josh’s Unconventional Marketing Blog – Blogger Appreciation Week about having something nice said.
  • Split my Nintendo DS Skins lens in two, added a Pokemon Nintendo DS Skins lens to my portfolio.

On to a new day; time to hit the publish button.
