  • I started right away on my Tampa Bay Buccaneers lens and got that off my plate since I didn’t finish it yesterday. Aligning things correctly took way too much time. Hopefully the other team schedule lenses take less time.
  • Added a couple of people to follow on Twitter.
  • Lensrank must be updating; taking way too long to publish my changes. I’ve been dinking around with this for over an hour; I have to move on or I’ll just get frustrated and give up.
  • Finally got the Tampa Bay lens published and I’ve updated my Green Bay Packers lens as well. Getting these set up at the beginning of the season is extremely putsy so I have to move on to something else before I go nuts.
  • Toying with the idea of getting rid of my Guess Now lens. I don’t use the site anymore because I’m constantly taken to a cell phone ringtone site.
  • I put another cat picture up at One Million Pet Pics.
  • Spent way too much time at catster, of course I have to read the sad stories which turn me into a blubbering idiot. It’s a good thing the DH wasn’t home, he would have yelled at me. If you have a cat there, feel free to add Bud as a friend. Please warn me first if your profile is for a kitty that has crossed over. I’ll need to get some tissue first.

August 9th, 2008

Woo hoo, it’s 8/8/08 and I have the day off. I can’t wait to get started on some projects that I’ve been thinking up all week.

  • I updated my Brett Favre lens which needed a little polishing.
  • I set up a Football ID to transfer all of my football related lenses to. Built a new lensography of my football lenses and now I have to transfer them all to the new ID. I’ll be updating many of the season schedule lenses with new content and adding their schedules shortly. Transferring that many lenses is a lot of work, there should be a bulk transfer option available.
  • I updated my Tampa Bay Buccaneers lens with this season schedule along with some new content. I didn’t finish this one, but I did in the morning.

I finished the day by watching the Olympic opening ceremonies and falling asleep in the chair.

One more day until the weekend because I took Friday off to get started on some stuff here at home. I ended up doing a lot of research yesterday and not much else. Oh well, on to today.

  • Continued my research, but I’m getting close now.
  • Signed up at the Warrior Forum; looking for more info.

I found the info that I needed and finally made a purchase after way too much dinking around. So much for getting anything done today.

August 7th, 2008

I stayed up pretty late last night talking to my mother about the whole Brett Favre drama and other things. I actually woke up at 2:30AM, but I was able to back to sleep shortly after. I’ll need to make up for the time this evening now that I’m back to a semi-normal sleeping schedule.

  • Started my Big Crumbs update for the month at Down On Our Luck.
  • That’s about it for this morning. I didn’t get real far into anything. I woke up too late for that.
  • I spent some time researching some tools for myself and then the DH and I went for a much needed bike ride.

August 6th, 2008

It’s another early morning here, hopefully that means I’ll be getting a lot done.

  • Logged into Facebook due to a new friend request. My password is always hosed, everytime I try to login I have to reset it.
  • I worked some more on my Ladies Pink NFL Jerseys lens trying to get more products featured. I was turned down by the NFL network as an affiliate which would have given me more options. Oh well, I try with them again later. If a seller had a pink jersey, why the heck wouldn’t they put pink in the title? GRR. Finished the NFC on this lens, I’ll have to come back to this tomorrow as my eyes are crossing right now trying to get the searches right.
  • Read a great blog post at Captain Squid: 8 Must Have Firefox Extensions For Lensbuilding.
  • A comment received yesterday made me take a look at Brenda K Carter which is my bio lens. Wow, that needed some updating and some much needed rewrites.

My mother called last night so I was not able to get back on the computer for the day.

August 5th, 2008

I’m up a little early this morning, but nothing too bad. My eyes look a little nasty, maybe a case of pink eye so I could be in luck for an extended weekend.

  • Played around on Facebook for a little while; feel free to send me a friend request if you’d like.
  • Updated my Pink NFL Jerseys lens. Added many eBay store items and checked Amazon for new offerings. Only finished through Carolina Panthers. I guess I’ll be busy tonight, I’m pretty much out of time this morning.
  • Applied to some new sports affiliate programs this AM.

That’s about it for the 4th, on to 8/5/08.

August 4th, 2008

I had a difficult time getting back to Squidtop today to publish my post from yesterday so today’s listing might not be that accurate.

  • Changed the link to my Pokemon Nintendo DS Skins lens from my Nintendo DS Skins lens to look like it is meant to be part of the table of contents. Had to update the DS Skins again because my original link was wrong. The DS Skins lens hit a milestone for myself yesterday; at some point yesterday I had over 200 visitors within the last 7 days, I have never had that many visitors on any of my lenses.
  • Downloaded the new Entrebar from Entrecard. I’m excited to try it out, but I can’t login.
  • Spent a little time pricing fiberglass extension ladders. DH bent the one his boss lent him after using it for only a half an hour. I am so upset about this. From what I can find, they cost between $200-$300. I wish he would think sometimes.
  • Set up Thunderbird as my new email client; I finally figured out what the heck was wrong with my Yahoo account as well. So far I don’t think Thunderbird drags on my system as much.
  • Updated my Antique Singer Sewing Machine lens. Just a little tweaking and tag adding, nothing major.
  • Started playing around with new SEO Software: Traffic Travis. Started a lens with a personal review. Checked Squidoo for anything close and things look promising.

We ended up with company after this, so I was pretty much done for the day.

August 3rd, 2008

Happy Saturday everyone. This post will probably be pretty long as it is Saturday and all. A day when I have about twice as much time to get things done. For some reason, recently it has seemed that I’ve been getting nothing done; hence the reason I started recording my online time at this blog.

The biggest difficulty when writing down my online activities is deciding when or when not to write something done. If I hop on over to a website for a minute or two, it’s going to take me longer to write about it than to find the info I need and get out. On the other hand, I need to be honest with myself if I really want to become serious about things and get out of my day job. A minute or two at sixty websites is two hours, not good. I’ll find the correct mixture as I go along and tweek things.

  • Logged into Big Crumbs where I Make Money Shopping to check and record my stats. I also took a gander through the forums there to see if anything was new.
  • Checked my blog stats, nothing steller yesterday. I’ll need to think of some ways to work on that.
  • Every time I Tweet the old fashioned way, I receive an error and lose my comment. Guess I’ll try Tweekdeck again. I’m having problems adding new people to follow as well.
  • Added my lensmaster feed from Squidutils to the MyBlogs application on Facebook.
  • Wrote a new post at Down On Our Luck; an update to my husband’s gambling addiction.
  • Ok, I couldn’t resist, I dropped a couple of cards from my inbox at Entrecard.
  • Updated NFL Infant Jerseys to include all 32 teams now. Also, added “nofollow” to some more links. Checked availability on eBay store items all the way through the Cowboys.

That’s about all I got done on the 2nd, hopefully the 3rd is more productive.

August 1st, 2008

August 2nd, 2008

Like I said yesterday, I just couldn’t keep my eyes open long enough to finish eating last night. I was out like a light by 7:45. Anyways, happy August 1st to everyone.

  • Of course, I checked my Big Crumbs earings.
  • Posted a new blog post about helping a fellow lensmaster at All Squidoo All the Time.
  • Logged into Twitter to see if I’ve missed anything the last couple of days. I was using Tweetdeck, but for some reason it seems to slow down my computer. It’s probably time to upgrade my RAM or at least do some hard drive cleaning.
  • Made a trip to the Giant Squid Journal from the RSS feed I’m subscribed to. GypsyOwl has a great blog with great tips.
  • I also made a point to stop over at Unconventional Marketing and thank Josh for the kind words about Down On Our Luck. I will definitely take his advice, it’s good and would give me a rest on thinking of new content for a day.

I needed a little time to have fun last night, so we went to the husband’s grandmother’s house for a big ‘ole bonfire. Sitting back and having a drink really hit the spot for an extremely productive weekend.

July 31st, 2008 Daily Update

August 1st, 2008

I woke up a little later this morning because I stayed up last night instead of falling asleep on the couch. I have a little time to get some stuff done, but first I must go and refill the coffee.

  • Read a great post by Captain Squid about building a Pepperjam lens. If you use Squidoo to make money, I would definitely recommended signing up for his RSS feed.
  • I finally logged into the Pepperjam Ad Network for the first time this morning. I really like the layout and everything is so fast. I’ll be back when I’m ready to build some more lenses.
  • Finally purchased the 10 minutes trainer like I said I was going to do in Happy Birthday to Me. It took me forever to get to the bank and deposit my Birthday money. Why, don’t ask me.
  • Posted Foofur’s story at One Million Pet Pics.

That’s it for the morning, we’ll see if I can be more productive this afternoon.

So much for productivity in the evening, I couldn’t keep my eyes open long enough to finish my blizzard. Oh well, that’s the end of the July. On to August.
