July 30th 2008 Daily Update

I almost forgot to hit the publish button for yesterday. On to another day. Keeping track of what I’m doing has really helped me stay on track. I haven’t been this productive in the morning for weeks.

  • I responded to Poddy’s comment left on my first post by email, answering his question regarding Entrecard.
  • Took care of some customer emails and ordering for The Software Castle.
  • Signed up for Adtopic, I’m not sure about having another widget on Down On Our Luck. We’ll see what happens.
  • Checked my Big Crumbs account, like I do every morning.
  • Added a new friend at BlogCatalog, feel free to add me to your friend list.
  • Spent a little too much time on Catster looking to find friends for Bud. I think I spend way too much time networking for One Million Pet Pics, but I just can’t help myself. BTW, if you have a pet and a lens or website you’d like us to link to, visit our contact page and submit your favorite furry family member.
  • I kind of ran out of time for the morning, so I dropped Entrecards for 20 minutes.
  • For once I was able to get on the computer in the evening before falling asleep on the couch. I received an e-rewards survey that I took. I have already earned about $20 from their surveys. I redeemed $10 of that for a one year subscription to INC magazine. Hopefully I can find some time to read it, I seem to have a stack of mags piling up alongside my desk.
  • Didn’t get much done in the next hour after sitting down. I ended up finding Bud some friends on Catster and got tied up in sad pet stories. I don’t know what my problem is, I just can’t resist them.

I have about $35 on e-rewards, but there isn’t really anywhere to spend it, other than Blockbuster or Borders. If I could get some free meals out it would be good, but I think they only had Steak & Ale and they closed doors this week.

I actually had my eyes on the ebags rewards. After reading the description, there is no minimum purchase to redeem. Even if someone doesn’t have a use for it, you could either resell the bag or resell certificate for cash. There are quite a few restrictions on brands, but I’m not a brand person. I just checked the terms and I don’t see anything about the certificate being non-transferable. Bringing back the smaller Omaha Steaks coupons would make me a happy person as well.

We also rent a lot at Blockbuster so that may be an option as well.
